TMS THERAPY

TMS therapy stands for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation therapy.

 It's a non-invasive treatment that uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain, most commonly to treat depression, especially major depressive disorder (MDD) that hasn't responded to other treatments.

• A device with a magnetic coil is placed against your scalp.
   
• It delivers repetitive magnetic pulses to a specific area of the brain (usually the left prefrontal cortex, associated with mood regulation).
   
• These pulses stimulate brain activity and help rebalance neural circuits involved in depression.
   

• FDA-approved for treatment-resistant depression.
   
• Typically involves daily sessions (30–40 minutes) over 4–6 weeks.
   
• It's non-surgical and doesn’t require anesthesia.
   
• Common side effects include mild headache or scalp discomfort, but it’s generally well-tolerated.
